Advanced Training

Our Experience

Northfield Kennels is owned and founded by Sam Daly, who started retriever training in the 1980’s. Sam brings a wealth of knowledge to Northfield Kennels with over 30 years of
experience. Sam deployed with the 2nd Battalion 5th Marines to Afghanistan in 2012, and again in 2013 with 2MEF as a civilian contractor, training explosive detection dogs. Upon returning home, Sam founded the non-profit organization, Believet where he provides highly trained
service dogs, free of charge, to disabled military veterans.

Our knowledge and ability to produce proven dogs in both AKC retriever competitions and in government sectors has allowed us to expand to a new venture to serve our men and women in the U.S Military.  Believet is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that trains service dogs for disabled military veterans, free of charge. Believet adopts prospective service dogs from shelters and by donation, and trains them for assistive behaviors for PTSD, MST, TBI, and mobility impairing disabilities.
